Chinese paper-cut silhouette depicting a reservoir's abandoned stone staircase descending into a vast dry basin, its exposed waterlines cut as nested contours that gradually become the growth rings of a severed tree. Form the staircase, terraced banks, brittle reeds, and tiny stranded boat from one continuous intricately cut cinnabar-red sheet on warm off-white paper, with slender bridges preserving every connection and generous empty space above the basin. Soft light from the upper left reveals delicate cut-edge shadows; no lettering, only the stark vertical descent from former abundance to an empty bed, 9:16 portrait phone wallpaper
